Operation of Taff Bargoed Park Kiosk

Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council is seeking offers from interested parties to operate the kiosk/snack bar situated at Taff Bargoed Park. The successful applicant will be required to enter into a lease with the Contracting Authority for a total of three years. Situated in the beautiful Taff Bargoed Valley, Parc Taf Bargoed is deemed by many as being the hidden gem of Merthyr Tydfil with its panoramic views and natural beauty. The park, formerly the site of three collieries (Trelewis Drift, Deep Navigation and Taff Merthyr), cover an area of 140 hectares and was the subject of an ambitious land reclamation scheme which transformed the site. The kiosk/snack bar is situated within Taff Bargoed Park opposite the Park’s idyllic lake . The kiosk is a single storey timber clad building with a serving hatch. The kiosk can be used for the preparation and selling of cold and hot foods and non-alcoholic drinks . However, hot foods can only be prepared by using a hot plate toaster and microwave oven. There isn’t any customer seating within the kiosk.
