Multi Supplier Framework Agreement for the provision of Consultants to Support the Management of the Civil Society Fund

Tender description

The Civil Society Fund is the Department of Foreign Affairs main development project funding scheme. The funding is targeted at the poorest and more vulnerable in countries of operation, with a strong geographic focus on sub-Saharan Africa and on the principles of development effectiveness. Applications are accepted on an annual basis from Irish and invited international civil society organisations to carry out development projects of between one and three years in duration. A panel of consultants is being established to provide technical support for the management of partner’s approved projects under the Civil Society Fund. The overall objective of this consultancy is to provide high quality technical input/support to ensure that best practice quality standards are coherently applied across all stages of the Civil Society Fund project cycle. This consultancy will encompass a range of specific skills to support the appraisal, approval, financial review, monitoring and evaluation of projects, as well as processes supporting the effective management of the funding to the civil society organisations in receipt of Civil Society Fund grants.
