Tender description

Network Rail (NR) intends to re-tender its current Employee assistance programme (EAP). The key purpose is to provide all NR employees and immediate dependents with access to these services 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. NR seeks to explore and understand all new opportunities and innovations within the EAP service industry, as well as engaging in services which are agile and adds value to our organisation. To support the occupational health and wellbeing vision for Network Rail, a supplier is required to provide a confidential employee assistance programme service NR employees. The service will include information, advice, practical and emotional support or counselling which will be free to NR employees and available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This service is will also be available to the partner and any dependents of the Network Rail employees (living within the same household) if they need to use the service. The employee assistance programme will offer as a minimum information and advice on a range of life services such as: • financial advice relating to debt; • legal advice; • health and wellbeing; • childcare and elderly care; and • and line management support; including but not limited to guidance in relation to their employees, support in resolving management issues, supporting employees with health and wellbeing queries and developing management skills. Note: the number of employees utilising the service may vary, depending upon how the business develops. As such, the future service must have the capability to be scalable and also be flexible at short notice.
