Electrical Services Works Specialist with Design Input for Proposed Corporate Support Services Building at Institute of Technology Carlow

Tender description

The new CSSB Building is a circa 5000sq m four storey building which is being constructed on the northern end of the IT Carlow campus towards the eastern boundary to provide storage and office space for various departments including HR, Development, Finance, International, Academic Staff, Admin, Estates and Insurtech. The new building will include a vertical central atrium throughout, sub station and new east road. The facility is a stone and glazing clad structural steel structure. External Works include a new Plaza area to the west side which ties in with the campus masterplan, storage units and works to eastern link road. Services connections for the facility will be adjacent. Specialist Panels will be formed and included in the main contract tender documents (i.e. main contractor tenders directly to the list provided) for the following elements of the works; - Curtain Walling/Glazing - Mechanical Services - Electrical Services The Specialist scope will include the electrical services installations within the new CSSB Building. The scope will include the design, fabrication, assembly and installation of electrical services including power supply and distribution, lighting, smoke alarm and fire alarm services, data/comms, PV, CCTV/Security, lightening protection etc. - lifts are not part of this package. The Specialist will also be required to coordinate their installations with the Mechanical Services; The scope will also include development of base design information provided by the design team by the specialist and the submission of such developed design to the design team for approval prior to commencement of fabrication and/or installation. Provision of samples for design team approval is also necessary.
