20/059 - Statutory Inspection of Pressure Systems

Tender description

The purpose of this contract is to enable Irish Water to comply with current legislative requirements relating to the inspection and certification of pressure systems on Irish Water operational sites. The examination and inspection of pressure systems falls under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 (S.I. No. 299 of 2007) and as amended by the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) (Amendment) Regulations 2012 (S.I. No.445 of 2012). The purpose of the Regulations is to provide a robust regime for the management of pressure systems, including clear requirements for periodic statutory examination of pressure systems. The contract will include the independent and competent examination of pressure systems, production of records of inspection, management information reports and use of a web based portal. The contract will be nationwide, covering all Irish Water sites in 31 Local Authority areas. Irish Water is seeking to appoint a single supplier for the contract.
