Tender description

Requirements for an agency to administer the National Student Survey (NSS) and dissemination of survey results. Administer the NSS annually to all final year students: Survey data collection Survey structure Administering the survey in Welsh Marketing and promotion of the survey Survey fieldwork Supporting good practice in running of the survey Preparing the final survey data for publication and dissemination Dissemination of survey results: Investigate and understand the user journey to inform development of the data dissemination portal Design, build, implement, and maintain a bespoke and secure data dissemination portal Host historic NSS data from all previous years of the survey Deliver the survey results from NSS 2021 onwards Provide and manage user support to ensure that all users are aware of the portal functionalities and changes. Consultation with user base to inform improvements to the data dissemination portal Project management: The implementation of robust project management procedures to provide the services mentioned above and manage an effective relationship with OfS, which will lead the contract on behalf of the UK funding and regulatory bodies. Administering a pilot exercise to expand the NSS to students of all years: Flexibility to offer additional capacity to accommodate pilot activity (including increase in NSS population size) and to meet all data requirements whilst maintaining high standards of service for the main contract. Provide expertise in service design and evaluation activities. Review and design processes as required by pilot activity. Capacity to accommodate an increase to the survey population to one million plus students in future years (from 2023-24 or 2024-25) depending on the outcome of the pilot activity to expand the NSS to students of all years.
