School catering services

Tender description

The proposed contract will be for the outsourced provision of catering services to the client. The school is split across two campuses, the primary campus is based on Courtney Road which currently has pupils in KS2 and the secondary campus at Mulberry Drive which has pupils in KS3 and KS4. The service provision is to include transporting of the food and the provision of a kitchen assistant at the primary site. Some pupils may experience additional difficulties in areas such as communication and interaction, including speech, language and communication needs (SLCN), Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), specific learning difficulties (SpLD), including dyslexia and some sensory needs. The proposed contract will be for the outsourced provision of catering services to the client. It is the client’s expectation that the successful bidder shall be responsible for the operation of the catering function including employment and management of staff, supply of foodstuffs, consumables and light equipment and preparing and serving appropriate meals. The client will retain responsibility for payment of utilities and the operation and maintenance of core catering equipment and facilities.
