Request for Information - Accommodation within Durham County

This is a request for information from the market regarding accommodation options available within County Durham. Durham County Council is looking into the potential development of accommodation to increase its capacity to support young people and adults (16+) in the community and across the county, with a range of needs, i.e. mental health, learning disability, autism spectrum, which could include physical disability, sensory impairment, and challenging behaviours. In the provision of the accommodation you must either be a Registered Social Landlord or be working in partnership with a Registered Social Landlord. The Council would like to gain information from the market. You are therefore invited to consider the content of the attached document. Durham County Council is issuing this request for information only, at this stage, in order to assess the availability of accommodation in the broader market and then identify whether any of it can be used for individuals in need of care and support in their own property. It is the intention of the Council to consider the potential accommodation against criteria to meet the needs of the individual(s), considering location, and accommodation type.
