Tender description

This tender is divided into two lots: Lot 1: Supply and Maintenance of New Blood Agitators; Lot 2: Maintenance of Existing Hemoflow Agitators. Please see section II.2.4) of each lot for a detailed description of procurement. NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) have blood agitators to weigh and mix donated blood. NHSBT requires a contract by which they can purchase further blood agitators along with a maintenance contract to repair the devices. Suppliers will need to provide a complete and ongoing maintenance, repair and replacement service to the standard required by NHSBT including quality monitoring. The supplier will also need to provide a collection and delivery service to nominated NHSBT sites. Any proposed new solution for this agreement must be cost effective, simple, safe, conducive to the current operational requirements. This tender will allow the Northern Irish Blood Transfusion Service (NIBTS) and Welsh Blood Service (WBS) to utilise this agreement. The procurement is split into lots as follows: Lot 1: NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) have blood agitators to weigh and mix donated blood. NHSBT requires a contract by which they can purchase further blood agitators. The award of this contract will be to the most economically advantageous tender on the basis of the criteria set out in the invitation to tender guidance document available on Bravo (ref. NHSBT1351). No business whatsoever is guaranteed under any resulting contract indeed there is no guarantee that any contract will be put in place in relation to this notice. No compensation, etc. will be paid if a tender or resulting contract is withdrawn for any reason. Bidders should take part in this process only on the basis that they fully understand and accept this position. NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) have blood agitators to weigh and mix donated blood. NHSBT requires a framework agreement by which they can maintain their existing fleet of blood agitators. Suppliers will need to provide a complete any ongoing maintenance and to the standard required by NHSBT including quality monitoring. The supplier will also need to provide a collection and delivery service to nominated NHSBT sites. Any proposed new solution for this agreement must be cost effective, simple, safe, conducive to the current operational requirements.
