Conwy Old Road Dwygyfylchi Kerb Line Issues

The works included but were not limited to: Excavation of existing carriageway and removal of narrow verge and vegetation. Removal of existing kerbs. Removal of existing fence. Installation of new pre cast concrete kerbs. Installation of a new chain link fence. Re-grading and stabilisation work to existing embankment. Transplanting existing hedgerow. Temporary diversion The project involved replacing a section of depressed kerbs on Conwy Old Road, between Dwygyflchi and Capelulo. The new kerbs were to be imbedded in a concrete bed and surround for the entire length of the affected area. Works also included removal of overgrowth and replacing of existing boundary fence with new concrete posts and chain link fencing. Localised embankment reinforcement and grading required. Carriageway reinstatement was to be carried out alongside the replacement kerbs. Full details of the works were contained in Volumes 1 –4.
