Civil & Structural Engineering Services - Alterations and Refurbishment of existing Accommodation in Riversdale CC for Danu Community Special School

Tender description

This Project includes the refurbishment of 1,150sqM of existing permanent accommodation in Riversdale CC for the benefit of Danu Community Special School. The Project is currently at the beginning of Stage 2b. Planning is not required, FSC and DAC have been secured. The Brief for the project is to design, tender, supervise and sign-off on the accommodation as set out in the Schedule of Accommodation in Appendix A. The accommodation is for pupils with Special Educational needs (SEN) and must be designed in accordance with the requirements of TGD 026, and its addendums. The Design Team shall also a) Review car parking and set down arrangements to incorporate any adjustments necessitated by the additional use, particularly regarding SEN requirements and increased staff numbers etc. b) Consider, in consultation with the School Authorities, how further expansion of both schools can be accommodated and indicate at Stage 2b how this can be achieved. As part of this process, design teams will be required to provide a masterplan of relevant areas of the school site to indicate where future development could take place. This will be helpful in informing decision-making into the future.
