Bishops Waltham Industrial Development (New-build)

Tender description

The Client, Winchester City Council is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and competent Design & Build Contractor to undertake the design and construction of three new build terraced light industrial units together with associated external works at Front Depot Lower Lane Bishops Waltham SO32 1AS. The successful tenderer will be required to enter into contract directly with the Employer using the JCT Design & Build Contract 2016 Edition (JCTDB 2016) incorporating 'Amendments to the standard form of contract' included within this tender. The timetable for this procurement has been provided (34 week construction period), although it is not the Employer's intention to amend this the Employer reserves the right to make alterations where these are beyond the Employers control, in such situations all tenderers will be informed at the earliest opportunity. The Contractor is required to review the programme and the scope of works and satisfy themselves that all works can be undertaken within the timescales stated including accounting for lead times for materials. The contractor shall advise with their tender submission if they consider that any works cannot be completed within the timescales noted.
