Tender description

This VEAT is for an AzLM Monitoring Solution System. This system helps analyse, process and report large amounts of data that are normally underutilised by rail operators and maintainers. The implementation of advanced data analytics allows maintainers and operators to go beyond traditional remote condition monitoring. Rail maintainers and operators would be able to program their expert knowledge into health assessment, diagnosis and prognostic models using these units, for which the supplier hold Intellectual Property as the original equipment manufacturer. Network Rail currently access AzLM Data by sending teams trackside to collect and download data every 28 days. Procurement is to incorporate an automatic system which will download and analyse data instantly without the need for operatives to work trackside. The automatic system will be sent at any time during the month and there would be remote access from mobile devices and laptops to provide near time support to the front-line staff. There would also be immediate access and download capability for Level 2 control and the full cloud support to collect all the data. Key requirements of the system are as follows: • provision of ACE (Axle Counter Evaluator) logs in ‘real-time’ (in practice this could be 30-secs to 1 min) • provision of historic ACE data for a period of 6 months • filter and search function on the data • pattern driven analysis of logs to provide only relevant data (automatic filter of non-relevant messages such as 'ok DA' in sidings etc) • graphical representation of the current system state (and historic states via a graphical playback facility, similar to Solid State Interlocking) • web-based access to facilitate connection to ACE (which can be accessed from a secure web-based portal) • multiple connections allowed simultaneously to allow multiple people to support fault diagnosis • remote GDI (Graphical Display Interface) access • iDevice compatibility (for trackside access by signalling technicians).
