Tender description
Marine Scotland are intending to have a tendering design developed with a view to procuring a new vessel in the near future and as a result wish to develop a tendering technical specification and its associated plans for the new vessel which will be used as part of the tendering documents for the shipyards. The project will be split into a number of discreet stages, though an iterative approach to the project will be imperative, for example, as follows: A. review and development of statements of requirement(s); B. feasibility study for fuel/powering arrangements; C. conceptual GA (General Arrangement) drawing; D. hull design and powering; E. deck and equipment arrangement; F. accommodation arrangements; G. wheelhouse layout; H. machinery arrangements; I. displacement calculations; J. lightship weight estimates; K. stability calculations; L. review; M. resistance, power, sea keeping, environmental noise and maneuvering modelling; N. development of full technical specification for design and build tender; O. regulatory and Class assessment and check; P. estimate of build costs; Q. preparation of plans, drawings and documents for design and build tender; R. assist with the evaluation of build bids, including yard visits; S. design and drawing approval during design and build contract; T. provision of supervisory staff throughout the build and trials stages at shipyard (working with Marine Scotland Staff).
