Tender description
Bristol City Council are conducting a soft market test exercise as follows: 1) for the potential future supply of LED Luminaires and associated materials; 2) for the potential future supply of a CMS system to operate in conjunction with replacement LED luminaires and some existing LED and HID Luminaires. Bristol City Council is asking interested bidders to participate in an exercise to help gather information of what is achievable.This will inform a potential CMS/LED luminaire replacement programme on the City-wide street lighting infrastructure, which will be the subject of a separate and formal procurement process. A response to the soft market test should be submitted by 5 p.m. on the 14th October to: https://procontract.due-north.com/Advert?advertId=2f352bb3-b8f2-ea11-8105-005056b64545&p=1a2530c9-009e-e511-8107-000c29c9ba21 The potential scheme in question is proposing to install a CMS system on the City’s A, B, C and unclassified road network along with replacement LED luminaires and the purpose of this Soft Market Exercise is to provide an averaged cost(s) associated with the installation of approximately 37,000 LED luminaires with CMS control, across the infrastructure in an anticipated period of approximately 104 weeks. The scope of the scheme and total quantities of CMS/LED luminaires involved will be determined by affordability. The potential scheme excludes illuminated signs. Currently the inventory [Confirm] has identified circa 9409 8-metre and above mounted luminaires and 27485 under 8-metre mounting height luminaires. A proportion of these luminaires across the entire range (circa 2667), are designated as Special Design Apparatus (SDA).
