Peabody require a contractor to provide a Waking Watch system whereby staff continually patrol all floors and the exterior perimeter of the building in order to respond to a fire, assist in calling the fire service and assist with the evacuation of occupants from the building. Peabody require a contractor to provide a Waking Watch system whereby staff continually patrol all floors and the exterior perimeter of the building in order to respond to a fire, assist in calling the fire service and assist with the evacuation of occupants from the building. The contract has the following requirements: • supporting peabody responsible person(s) in maintaining statutory compliance • ensuring the security and safety of the peabody property and its residents, staff and visitors • recording and reporting incidents or hazards to protect the safety of property residents, and reporting such issues to peabody/approved stakeholders • providing prompt and effective response to fire safety issues • Completing safe systems of work to maintain high standards of site safety • ensuring Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs) are implemented for tenants requiring assistance • ensuring all security officers receive appropriate training and maintain SIA licenses at all times • ensuring officers dress in appropriate uniform at all times and carry effective communications equipment to aid safety and evacuation plans • conducting property patrols as agreed to ensure effective surveillance and safety monitoring • maintain a programme of site inspections to monitor standards of service delivery • to report contract performance levels as agreed with Peabody managers • provide an experienced manager to liaise with Peabody for new assignments and service terminations • to effectively liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure the safety and security of Peabody properties.
