Refurbishment of Traverser Carriage and Syncrolift Mootor Hoods at Killybegs Fishery Harbour Centre (FHC)

Tender description

The project brief to refurbish the Traverser Carriage in the Shipyard at Killybegs Fishery Harbour Centre. This involves the shot blasting of the carriage and painting in the methodical method as outlined in the Works Requirements. This specialist work must be completed with a competent Contractor and a full report on the works submitted to the Engineer on completion of the works. The Project includes temporary works in the form of an enclosed area around the Traverser Carriage where the works will be completed inside to prevent particles from becoming airborne. All waste should be entrapped within this area and disposed of by a licenced carrier with all details of disposal provided to the Engineer and detailed in the final report and H&S Folder for the works. Included in the works is the water blasting and painting of the Syncrolift Motor Hoods which are adjacent to the Traverser Carriage. 8no. Hoods as well as the inside pedestal shall be water blasted and painted to the same specification as the Traverser Carriage. This part of the works involves working near and over water, which the Contractor shall consider in methodology for completion of the works and Risk Assessments for this part of the works.
