GWR is looking to implement an ITSO (Integrated Transport Smartcard Organisation) Account Based Ticketing (ABT) scheme in the Bristol area by end of 2021. GWR is looking for expressions of interest from parties that can help deliver an integrated, scalable and multimodal solution to achieve GWR’s vision to make travel easy for its customers. GWR is looking to implement an ITSO (Integrated Transport Smartcard Organisation) Account Based Ticketing (ABT) scheme in the Bristol area by end of 2021. GWR is looking for expressions of interest from parties that can help deliver an integrated, scalable and multimodal solution to achieve GWR’s vision to make travel easy for its customers. The interested parties will need to ensure they can integrate with GWR’s customer website, existing ITSO POSTs (Point Of Sale Terminals) installed in the nominated locations and Rail Delivery Group’s (RDG) Central Back Office (CBO) to provide a scalable account based system including a journey calculation engine. The scheme will make use of existing RSP (Rail Settlement Plan) product types to capture journey information from taps received in the CBO from ITSO media linked to customer accounts to deliver the account based scheme. The scheme will be required to provide customers with the best fare guarantee for their journey including capping of daily and weekly fares for the nominated areas whilst ensuring the rail industry fares apportionment rules are adhered to as well.
