Tender description
Bridgend County Borough Council wishes to procure a service to respond to the needs of children, young people and their families with support needs, due to a disability. The service will provide a distinct focus to ensure the specific needs of families with disabilities are provided for. The key elements of the disability support programme will focus on: • Provision of professional advice and guidance on managing the effects of disability on the family • Support for siblings of disabled children and young people to enable them to thrive • Appropriate parenting support that meets the needs of and supports those parents/carers with coping strategies for challenging behaviour • Promoting independence and resilience in the community
