Tender description

The London Borough of Barnet (LBB) is seeking to recommission its accommodation and support services for young people aged 16-21. LBB is developing its holistic support and accommodation offer to young people at risk of homelessness, children in care and care leavers. There are two separate contracts for each lot, where bidders can apply for one or both lots: Lot 1: Supported Accommodation for young people 16-21 (Barnet Foyer); Lot 2: Floating Support (Approved Provider List). This advert is a formal invitation to participate. To view further documentation and respond to this tender please log in to www.barnetsourcing.co.uk The authority is seeking to award multiple contracts as part of an approved provider list to providers that can deliver high-quality, strengths-based floating support. The support will include key workers with experience of working with and engaging young people to achieve their aspirations and independence. Floating Support complements the PA support offer and other support we have available as part of our care leaver pledge. Floating support is targeted for young people aged 16-21 (and up to 25 for those with additional needs) and for young people living independently, at the edge of care or where specific focused work is required to develop independent living skills pre move-on. The focus of the supported accommodation contract is to deliver high quality, young person friendly housing management and on-site support within Barnet. The premises available include Barnet Foyer is a unit of 24 flats for young people aged 16-21, with on-site offices, a gym, shared kitchen, communal spaces and communal bathrooms. The service is for the following cohorts: — young people at risk of homelessness that require low to medium level support, — children in care, including UASC, — care leavers. The core aim and focus of this service is to support young people to thrive, developing independence and prepare them for move on into independent living.
