Tender description

An interim contract for the provision of advocacy services for an independent complaints advocacy Service (ICAS) AN Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) An Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA) (including the services in relations to Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards DoLs). Delivery of the following services: Independent Complaints Advocacy Service (ICAS) for people aged 16 years old and above who require support to make a complaint about an NHS funded service. Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) Service and Inpatient Advocacy Service, for qualifying patients aged 18 plus detained under the mental health act in a secure mental health setting, or provisionally discharged from hospital and those on a community treatment order. Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA) Service for individuals aged 16 plus whom lack mental capacity to make decisions about serious medical treatment or change of accommodation decisions, Section 39 of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 as amended. Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Advocacy (IMCA DoLs) for individuals aged 18 plus who have a mental disorder and lack capacity to consent to the arrangements for their care or treatment in circumstances that may amount to a deprivation of liberty but who have no representatives as defined under the mental capacity act deprivation of liberty Safeguards from 1 April 2009.
