Tender description

The City of Edinburgh Council (CEC) requires an efficient route to market to realise the vision of affordable, new build housing across the city. There is a strong desire to innovate and truly realise the ethos of place-making in the process while creating sustainable energy efficient homes (Constructed to Building Standards Silver Level). A target of 20 000 new homes by 2027 has been set. 10 000 of these shall be built by housing association partners. The remainder shall be built by the Council: (a) on land the council owns/acquires for this purpose; (b) by purchasing parts of developments being built privately; (c) on council land where due to complexity we enter into development partnership (usually mixed tenure and mixed use developments).
