Biosecurity Review, including direct field surveys, of the all of the islands in the Blasket Islands Group (six principal islands) which will include the completion, to a high standard, of a number of discreet elements covering: (1) direct Survey of all islands in the Group for potential invasive mammals or other critical invasive species in Autumn 2020 (2) recommendations for prevention of introduction/incursions of invasive mammals or other critical invasives (3) consideration of the need for a monitoring programme to detect any incursions/introductions; and (4) response, including rapid response, measure for any incursions/introduction. Given the number of islands in the group, geography, differences in activities/uses of the islands, and the probable difference in existing species composition (in terms of both problematic and potentially vulnerable species), assessments and recommendations may need to be specific to each.
