Tender description

Framework for the supply and installation of solar panels across five lots with an additional lot for a consultant to carry out post installation checks. Panels to be installed in line with the IET code of practice for grid-connected solar photovoltaic systems. The Council currently has an allocated GBP 6 million of funding to invest in renewal energy, including solar panels. The estimated value includes this money, as well as allowances for future funding to be made available over the life of the framework and for usage by other public sector bodies listed within the tender pack who may or may not access the framework. Contractors may bid for and be appointed to any number and combination of lots 1-5, however lot 6 is exclusive. Bidders tendering for that lot may not tender for any other. Installation of panels on domestic rooftops. Installation of panels on commercial rooftops with a maximum size less than 50 kW. Installations greater than or equal to 50 kW on commercial rooftops. Installation of ground-mounted panels. Installation of solar panels on car ports. Provision of post-installation quality checks for work awarded under lots 1 to 5. The consultant will be required to check works delivered to ensure they have been carried out to a high standard in accordance with the contract. A check will not be made on every installation.
