Tender description

The Council is assessing provider interest in the provision of a Shared Lives management and operation service, via a PIN as a call for competition. Shared Lives schemes recruit, assess and support carers who offer accommodation and care and support in their family home to people who are unable to live independently. This notice will be used to gauge market interest and provider expertise in this area and help determine commissioning intentions and explore options. Providers will be required to deliver a service with a minimum of approximately 40 full time carers based within Brighton and Hove, with intentions to grow this cohort and work in partnership with the Council's in-house Shared Lives carers and services. The Council is keen to explore options to expand the service, including a kinship model and working across multiple client groups. Qualified providers should register their interest via email to the address above by 12 October 2020, with max 500 words response including: — their experience of delivering comparable functions, — ability and plans to recruit carers for 1 April 2021, — evidence of Shared Lives service CQC registration. Following receipt of expressions of interest the Council will confirm its commissioning intentions and if applicable release full procurement documentation (estimated date 1 December 2020). Please note, this notice does not bind the Council to undertake any further procurement activity. All procurement activity will be undertaken in accordance with PCR 2015.
