Tender description

Why the Work is Being Done The Border Force Risk Identification Teams require a restricted in-house system for data management. The teams currently have access to the IBM i2 iBase software via Poise which will be used to securely manage and search across the information and intelligence the teams hold. However, the software needs setting up correctly to enable this. Therefore, IT support is essential to make the system fit for purpose. Problem to Be Solved An IT specialist is required to deliver this bespoke element to the i2 iBase software which the Border Force Risk Identification Teams already have installed. Who Are the Users The bespoke service requirement is that the software be set up to do the following; 1. Allow for the storage, search and analysis of linked-entity data, providing visualisations and reporting on data contained within. 2. Designs and provides a schema which will structure the data required for storage in a way which provides the best analytical abilities over that data. 3. Allows for rules to be created which will automatically weed (delete) data from the repository, based on predefined conditions including age and security classification (Weeding Asset). 4. Uses ‘scored matching’ to find relevant records and listing them in order so that it can be identified how well those records match a query. 5. Implements a simple security model which allows the visibility of data to be restricted on a per user group basis (single security dimension only). Early Market Engagement Work Already Done Existing Team N/A Current Phase Not started Work Location The work may be undertaken remotely, although engagement with the HO team will be required.
