Tender description

NHS Kent and Medway CCG has appointed a provider to cover the urgent requirement to delivery dermatology services to patients following a patient treatment list audit of the CCG incumbent provider. This follows the suspension of the procured contract from 2019. In 2019 NHS Medway CCG appointed DMC Healthcare to provide community dermatology services across the north Kent patient footprint. In July 2020 the merged Kent and Medway CCG received confirmation that DMC wished to exit the arrangement. Due to the patient list treatment profiles NHS Kent and Medway appointed an emergency provider to: (a) conduct risk stratification (b) conduct emergency treatments following stratification (c) stabilise and diagnose the patient treatment list. Whilst the services are under emergency provision the CCG are looking to stabilise and find a sustainable solution to the provision of dermatology across the North Kent footprint. This contract period length is 6 months from 1 July 2020.
