Tender description
NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (NHS AGCSU) on behalf of NHS England — East of England (referred to as the Commissioner) are inviting suitably qualified providers to deliver community and school aged immunisation services for the following lots: Lot 1: Essex Lot 2: East Anglia Lot 3: Hertfordshire Lot 4: Bedfordshire (including Luton) and Milton Keynes (BLMK). As a result of this procurement exercise an agreement will be established with the successful Bidder(s) for a period of 3 years [with the Commissioner having the option to extend the contract for up to a further 3 years]. The contract start date will be 1 September 2020. The aim of the service is to deliver safe and effective immunisation services to all eligible children and young people in school and other settings where appropriate (Pupil Referral Units, Home Schooling) across Essex. The service should provide a dynamic, high performing, safe, effective and dedicated immunisation service that encompasses the immunisation programmes. The service should engage all children and young people and their parents and should be well known to the community it serves. The provider will need to provide services for the following immunisations: • Seasonal flu immunisation including Live Attenuated Influenza Vaccine (LAIV) and intramuscular (IM) vaccines in line with national roll out plans, this includes special schools and nurseries (students and staff); • Tetanus, diphtheria and polio (Td/IPV); • Meningococcal groups A, C, W and Y (MenACWY); • Human Papillomavirus (HPV) for girls and boys; • Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) catch-up; • Neonatal/ infant BCG and BCG catch-up.
