Tender description

Herefordshire Council is seeking to tender a countywide integrated Drug and Alcohol Recovery service for both adults and young people. The service should provide open access to a range of evidence based recovery options including; psychosocial and pharmacological interventions, group and peer support as well as outreach for vulnerable and high-risk individuals and groups. The service should be accessible to all people affected by drug and alcohol use including parents or carers of those experiencing drug or alcohol issues in Herefordshire County. The service will be procured under a single contract to be delivered by a lead provider. The lead provider will be required to work in partnership with or sub contract to other organisations with relevant expertise to deliver services throughout the community e.g. community pharmacies. The service should seek to target vulnerable and high-risk populations working towards robust provision of recovery services throughout the county and within community settings. Herefordshire is home to a large number of military personnel and their families, the service should ensure that appropriate access and support is available to this community capitalising on the work undertaken by the veterans support worker over the last two years (post subject to additional external funding). This tender is let under the ‘light touch’ arrangements of the Public Contracts Regulations (PCR 2015).
