Tender description

Provision of external audit services. The financial audit usually takes place from October to December ready to report to a Trustees’ at a meeting in mid - December. The aim is that the financial statements of Delta Academies Trust and its subsidiary will be ready for signature and submission to the ESFA by 31st December. Planning and systems work often takes place earlier in June/July or September. In addition to the external and regularity audit the tender will also include reference to the audit of the following: • accounts return: for submission in January. audit work to be completed early January; • teachers’ pension audit: work completed July/August 2021 with submission by September 2021; • independent examiners report: we also have a separate charity, Delta Academies Charitable Trust. The year end is 31 August and the independent review is usually carried out at the same time as the Delta external audit; • other grants: we have two teaching schools and therefore have a number of additional audits each year, including School Direct. These can be at short notice.
