Tender description

BHC are seeking expressions of interest from contractors who are interested in providing the construction works required for purpose built sound studios totalling 157 000 ft2. The facility will also include office accommodation and associated ancillary space. Further information regarding the opportunity will be provided within the pre-qualification documents that can be requested through the contact detailed at I.1 of this OJEU notice. The Belfast Harbour Film Studio Phase 2, will be a purpose built film studio project totalling 157 000 ft2 of space, designed to meet the needs of all current production requirements. The complex will include two purpose built sound stages and associated three storey office accommodation which will provide 78 000 ft2 of space. The stages will be constructed as steel framed structures finished in architectural cladding on piled substructures, the stages will be fully sound proofed and each will be provided with air conditioning, extraction fans, fixed steel grids, catwalks and three phase power supplies. The complex also includes two large workshops blocks which will provide 79 000 ft2 of space capable of further sub division. The workshops will be constructed as steel framed structures finished in architectural cladding on piled substructures ready for tenant fit out The project includes extensive hard paved car and lorry parking, access roads, site fencing and gates, an external service area, drainage and site utilities.
