Tender description

Tanfield School is currently out to tender for the provision of a catering service. The Contractor will be responsible for the provision of a full food catering service for the students and staff at the School. Services provided will consist of breakfast, morning break and full lunch service for each day at the School. In addition, some hospitality catering will be required particularly for inset days and other events. Tanfield School is currently out to tender for the provision of a catering service. Tanfield School is a popular over-subscribed school in Stanley, County Durham and is part of the Eden Learning Trust. The school is a co-educational secondary, catering for almost 700 students aged 11-16. The School has Free School Meal entitlement of around 25 % and Pupil Premium of around 30 %. The School requires a Contractor to undertake the catering service for all year groups in accordance with good practice; to ensure the provision of a high standard of food service for the benefit of all stakeholders including school staff, students, and visitors to the School. The Contractor will be responsible for the provision of a full food catering service for the students and staff at the School. Services provided will consist of breakfast, morning break and full lunch service for each day at the School. In addition, some hospitality catering will be required particularly for inset days and other events. TUPE is expected to apply, details of which can be found in the tender documentation. No staff are members of the LGPS. The award criteria is detailed in the procurement documents as follows: — services provision 40 % — service delivery 30 % — expertise/experience 15 % — price 15 %.
