Tender description

The Contract is for the installation of approximately 120 m of pedestrian pontoon within the harbour at the base of the existing rock armour on the South Revetment. The new pontoons are to be connected to the existing pontoon network to allow access to the shore via the current bridge. It is envisaged that the pontoons will be held in place by 5nr piles with 508mm diameter, 16mm thickness and steel grade S355, secured in the seabed. Utility points are to be fixed on the new pontoons to provide water and electricity supplies to the moored boats. It is envisaged that the contract period will be approximately 18 weeks, allowing for procurement of pontoons and piling, and for a site works period of approximately 4 weeks.
