Galway City Innovation District (GCID) are seeking expressions of interest from Building Contractors who have a minimum turnover of between €2.5m up to €5m for the proposed renovation and extension works to the existing Connacht Tribune building on Market Street, Galway to provide for a co-working space. The works provide for the renovation of the existing office building comprising 1,044.5 sq m over two levels, the addition of one extra floor comprising 350 sq m, replacement/ upgrading of the external fenestration and provision of a new access core over three levels comprising 100 sq m, fitout of the interiors with the provision of new mechanical and electrical services, and finishes throughout. Interested parties should submit their expression of interest to include the following: · Date company founded · Confirmation of Tax Clearance status · Evidence of participation in pension/ sick pay scheme · Confirmation of turnover for the past three years · Confirmation of insurances – Employer’s Liability, Public Liability, Bond Statement and All Risks · Technical Capacity – Management staff; operatives in CIF Scheme · Resume of 3 no. similar sized projects completed within the past five years confirming project value and size · Confirmation of quality control systems in place, i.e. ISO cert/ other · Health & Safety statement, safety personnel, reportable accidents · Provide 3 no. references in respect of similar sized projects completed within the past 5 years. Brochures should not be submitted with the expression of interest. It is intended that a maximum of five contractors will be shortlisted for tender purposes.
