Construction work for buildings relating to artistic performances

Tender description

The contract is for the works required in connection with the planned development of the former Bradford Odeon Cinema. This development will see re-instatement of the original auditorium, creating the biggest ‘mid-size’ venue in the country outside London, with a capacity of 3 500 seated/4 000 with stalls standing. The entire building will be served by new acoustic, electrical, heating, and cooling, ventilation, lighting and fire control systems. An SQ is the first stage in the procurement exercise. The purpose of the SQ is for bidders to provide sufficient information to Bradford Live for the assessment of their capability and suitability in order to select bidders to submit tenders for award of the contract. Following evaluation of the SQs, Bradford Live intends to invite 5 bidders to participate further in the procurement exercise. Any such further participation would be in the form of an ITT and relevant accompanying documents at which stage the selected bidders will be asked to submit detailed proposals against a specification and pricing structure which will be evaluated in line with the evaluation criteria and the scoring matrix provided in the ITT. A single stage traditional approach is being adopted to procure this contract.
