DoF is placing this voluntary transparency notice to alert economic operators of its intention to modify the framework CFT 438385 — framework for disposal services for IT equipment, electronic and electrical equipment in accordance with Regulation 72 (1) (c) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. It is intended that this modification will extend the framework for 12 months and increase value by GBP 50 000. This transparency notice does not place any obligation on the authority to enter into this modification. Unauthorised disclosure of information/sensitive data is a major risk mainly due to the increasing dependence on electronic storage systems and the use of disposable media. NICS Departments and Bodies have therefore developed asset disposal strategies that can require data to be deleted from media and equipment sometimes prior to its permanent removal from site for disposal and/or recycling or for assured data destruction take place. The framework is used to securely and irreversibly delete data from a range of media either on the customer's premises/or off-site and — securely and legally dispose of redundant information and communications technology equipment and media.
