The supply of Canine training kits for 3 years with 1 year extension option. The purpose of this market engagement is to scope the market to inform potential procurement activity for the supply of training kits for Explosives Detection Dogs to the UK Government. The Home Office will be the contracting authority for these requirements. These training kits are presently manufactured under licence in the UK. All background Intellectual Property in relation to them is retained by the UK government and shall continue to be retained in the future. Based on supplier responses to earlier market engagement events it is anticipated that training kits procurement will be in the following lot structure. Historic volumes and spend information are also indicated. Lot 1 Training Kit Characteristics: Kits contain UN Hazard Classification 1.1D materials. 7 product lines procured; Approx. 300 kits procured per annum. Range of spend: Up to GBP 200k per annum. Lot 2 Training Kit Characteristics: Kits contain UN Hazard Classification 6.1 materials. 2 product lines procured; Approx. 404 kits procured per annum. Range of spend: Up to GBP 22k per annum. Lot 3 Training Kit Characteristics: Kits contain UN Hazard Classification 4.1 and 5.1 materials with 1.1A ingredient materials. 6 product lines procured; Approx. 26 000 kits procured per annum. Range of spend: Up to GBP 460k per annum. Potential Suppliers will need to be appropriately licensed to manufacture, store and transport these kits to customers on the UK mainland. Suppliers interested in Lot 1 will need to be licensed to store up to 2 000 kilograms of 1.1D materials at any one time. Suppliers will also have to demonstrate compliance with UK Defence Standards as part of any future procurement.
