Tender description

NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (AGCSU) on behalf of NHS England Midlands (West Midlands) would like to inform the market of a potential opportunity to provide out of hours urgent dental care services. Currently the commissioners are looking at the following lots: • The West Midlands Location 1: Birmingham; • The West Midlands Location 2: Hereford. Potential providers who wish to express an interest in taking part in the procurement process are invited to respond to a market engagement questionnaire. Please note the deadline for responses is by 12.00 noon on Monday 24 August 2020. The service requires bidders to provide primary care urgent dental services at weekends and on bank holidays to residents of, and visitors to, the West Midlands. Providers will be expected to have a key role in delivery of the wider West Midlands urgent dental care system. Please see the original consultation document within the supporting documents folder. Please note that all contracts have already been awarded to the successful providers for all other lots and locations across the West Midlands. The contract will be due to commence in January 2021 and will expire on 28 February 2025 with a break clause within the contract from March 2023; further information on this will be provided at ITT stage. Please note TUPE may apply to these services when they are advertised. Potential providers who wish to express an interest in taking part in a future procurement process are invited to respond to a market engagement questionnaire. Please note the deadline for responses is by 12.00 noon on Monday 24 August 2020. Providers have the opportunity to have a one to one session with the commissioner on Tuesday 25 August 2020. Please specify your preference for a one to one slot within the questionnaire either for a morning slot (9.30 a.m. to 12.00 noon) or afternoon slot (12.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m.).
