Tender description

A contract for the provision of fire safety surveying, testing and reporting services in respect of external wall systems on various properties. The contract is for the provision of fire safety surveying, testing and reporting services in respect of external wall systems on a number of Optivo's properties across London and the South East. It is envisaged that the contract will be for a period of 3 years. Under the contract the appointed consultant will be required to carry out intrusive surveys of the relevant properties, and provide testing and reporting services as a complete package. The focus will be on: • blocks with potential issues identified via on-going FRAs; • queries from home ownership; • direct enquiries from leaseholders and residents; • investigations on blocks with ‘traditional’ cladding– prioritising those with leaseholders to ensure EWS1 forms are obtained to enable stair-casing or selling; • timber balconies/timber cladding; • combustible materials forming spandrel panels in and around windows/doors; • insulated render; • cavity barriers/fire stopping; • non-compliant insulation; • timber framed with non-traditional envelope.
