Refuse and waste related services

Tender description

It is the intention of NHS property services to tender for our general waste and recycling services and to include additional services pertinent to collection and disposal of waste above our current incumbents contract. Below are the waste streams being considered: — non-hazardous waste streams (general/domestic/non-hazardous industrial, dry mixed recycling, cardboard, paper, glass, food, confidential paper waste, aluminum products, furniture, garden waste, construction waste); — hazardous and WEEE waste streams (general WEEE, fridges and refrigeration equipment, flo tubes, aerosols, hand gels, toner cartridges, oil, oil contaminated solids, chemicals, solvents, paint tins, batteries, IT equipment, pesticides, X-ray waste, asbestos). NHS property services are looking to contract with one provider and manage the above waste streams for our sites across England. NHS property services understand that some waste streams may need to be subcontracted. NHS property services will review the subcontract element throughout the tendering process.
