Tender description

Provision of preventative maintenance on ~60+ Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) which are in use across the Sellafield Ltd site. A competent and experienced supplier is required which has the necessary knowledge and experience to provide preventative maintenance on varying ages of VSDs from a wide range of supplies including: ABB, Cegelec, Siemens, Vacon and SEW (approx. ages range from new to 30+years). There are currently approximately ~60+ Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) in use across the Sellafield site from a range of manufacturers including ABB, Cegelec, Siemens, Vacon and SEW. Sellafield is looking to conduct a tender competition for the placement of a 4-year framework agreement with one successful tenderer for the maintenance of VSDs to support Sellafield site operations. The total spend over the life of the proposed framework agreement is estimated at ~GBP 1 million. Sellafield is seeking one successful tenderer which has previous knowledge in servicing and maintaining all the above listed manufacturer's VSDs which are all varying in age (approx. ages range from new to 30+years). The successful tenderer will be required to attend the Sellafield Ltd site to conduct the maintenance and must have the ability to obtain the necessary security clearance, this will include BPSS, SC and possibly DV level clearance (additional information can be located on the .gov website). The scope of the work will include the following: • routine asset inspection and servicing • breakdown support • asset recovery • appropriate and accurate specification of the spares • management of existing spares • spares provision • obsolescence planning • review and updating of Sellafield Ltd maintenance instructions • training in immediate diagnosis and repairs. Sellafield will be looking to publish a tender competition crica November/December 2020. This prior information notice has been issued to gauge interest from the market.
