Tender description

Poole Harbour SPA is protected by international law. Recent scientific evidence shows that Poole Harbour is increasingly subject to eutrophication through excess nitrogen loading from within the harbour catchment. One of the sources of nitrogen is from residential development. The Council, under the habitats regulations, is required as competent authority to ensure that all new residential development is nitrogen neutral before granting planning permission.
