Steam Boiler Replacement Burners for Glangwili Hospital

Tender description

The works comprise the replacement of the burners fitted to the three steam boilers of Glangwili General Hospital with new replacements. It includes their installation together with all the associated mechanical, electrical, controls and refractory work. Two boilers will burn light oil only, the third will be dual-fuel and configured to burn light oil and LPG. All will be provided with new burner controls, which will also incorporate blowdown, water level controls etc. In addition, the main control panel for the boiler room is also to be replaced as part of this scheme. As part of these works, a temporary steam boiler is to be introduced to provide cover over the winter period in case of breakdowns. In addition, the main panel for the boiler room is to be renewed and re-located. This will require the modification of existing local sub-control panels and creation of others. The contractor will be required to provide the mechanical, electrical services, the controls, builder’s work, and all other works relating to this contract. He will be required to provide all necessary builder`s work details and wiring diagrams to enable the other trades to carry out the relevant works. He will also be required to liaise with his sub-contractors both to agree a suitable installation programme for the works, as well as ensuring its execution.
