Network Rail currently use a multitude of tools to test the various capabilities of its software programmes. It uses a test management tool to manage and report progress on their test assets internally with several business stakeholder groups. Network Rail also use a performance testing tool to execute performance testing on its off-the-shelf and cloud-hosted applications, and they use an automation testing tool for the automation of regression test packs for online and on-site hosted applications. The agreement with the current software provider is due to expire shortly and Network Rail is therefore conducting market engagement to discern what other solutions are within the market. This periodic indicative notice is to inform the supply base that Network Rail has published a request for information to determine what solutions currently reside within the market. A request for information has been published to suppliers via the Network Rail Procurement Platform — BravoNR.
