Remediation of Unregulated Sites at Pollardstown STAGE 1 ENVIRONMENTAL RISK ASSESSMENT AND REMEDIATION PLAN

Tender description

Review the findings of all previous reports, complete a data gap analysis, plan site investigations to close any identified gaps in data, produce final Environment Risk Assessment Reports and remediation plans for the sites in accordance with the EPA Code of Practice ‘Environmental Risk Assessment for Unregulated Waste Disposal Sites’. Remediation plans should be fully costed and should comply with EPA ‘Landfill Restoration and Aftercare Manual’. The consultant is required to advise on necessary planning compliance. Given the proximity of Pollardstown Fen (SAC 000396), screening for both Environmental Impact Assessment Report and Appropriate Assessment need to be carried out to determine if the proposed remediation plans could potentially have significant negative impacts on the conservation objectives of Natura 2000 Special Areas of Conservation or Special or Protected Area sites in the area.
