Tender description

The overall objective of new Real Time Passenger Information (RTPI) displays will be to provide greater coverage of at-stop RTPI through legible Displays that are cost effective to own and that support the aims of Bus Connects. The overall objective of new Real Time Passenger Information (RTPI) displays will be to provide greater coverage of at-stop RTPI through legible displays that are cost effective to own and that support the aims of bus connects. The specific objectives of the Future RTPI Displays procurement are currently as follows: • procure RTPI displays through an appropriate procurement mechanism that can ensure the efficient and effective provision of integrated RTPI across Ireland, that is accessible and attractive to all current and potential customers, and that supports demand growth for public transport; • new RTPI Displays will integrate within the existing portfolio of RTPI Displays, such that the information provision will be managed through Vix’s Content Management Application (CMA); • enable NTA to investigate and procure new display technologies to enable it to meet its obligation to provide real-time passenger information to the public in a cost-effective and environmentally friendly manner and such that they can be easily read at night, in bad weather and by people with visual impairments.
