Dumfries and Galloway Council is looking to employ an independent waste specialist advisor experienced in waste strategy development to support Dumfries and Galloway Council in the next steps in delivery of a waste service. There is a scoping document attached that will provide greater detail. Dumfries and Galloway Council is looking to employ an independent waste specialist advisor experienced in waste strategy development to support Dumfries and Galloway Council in the next steps in delivery of a waste service. The driver behind this is principally to develop an efficient and effective, legislative-compliant, joined-up waste collection, treatment and disposal service following the termination of the Waste PFI Contract in November 2018 that resulted in the waste disposal and HWRC service being brought in-house. We are looking to see what interest there is in this opportunity and for those interested to provide a ballpark figure for the provision of this work to allow us to structure this procurement process properly.
