Summary of the work The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport is looking for an experienced delivery manager to help support the department deliver its ambitious IT Transformation programme in 2020. Specialist role Delivery manager Expected Contract Length initial 3 months Latest start date Monday 17 August 2020 Maximum Day Rate @£400 subject to experience Early Market Engagement none Who Speclialist Work With Role reports to the Head, IT, and will work across the IT and records team, working closely with Workstream/ Delivery leads. What Specialists Work On 1. Work with customers in gathering business requirements for data migration needs. 2. Work across multiple functional projects to understand data usage and implications for data migration. 3. Assist in designing, planning and managing the data migration process. 4. Work with subject matter experts and project team to identify, define, collate, document and communicate the data migration requirements. 5. Prepare data migration plans including migration risk, milestones, quality and business sign-off details. 6. Manage assigned risks and monitor potential impacts as part of the data migration plan. 7. Develop best practice, processes, and standards for effective data migration activity Skills & Experience • Data Migration experince • Google GSuite product experince (Google Drive) • Knowledge of AODocs Nice to Haves • GSuite Admin experience • Records/ information governance experience Work Location 100 Parliament Street and remotely Working Arrangments Enagement is customer facing, project will need to be scoped and a delivery plan produced detailing the time and effort required to deliver teh desired outcome. No expenses are applicable as part of this engagement. Is there an incumbent This is a new role and requirement. There is currently no incumbent 2. Is there any flexibility on rate as this rate for the level of role is low? We have provided a guide day rate for the requirment, if you feel that the rate provided is low please submit your day rate as part of your bid. 3. Regarding Covid-19 and worker safety, can this job be performed remotely? A majority of the role can be provided remotely, but same areas of delivery may require a presence onsite. 4. Is the contract likely to be extended past the initial 3 months?What type of data is being moved?Where is the data being moved from and to?Thank you. The contract has been planned as a 3 month project, the firt activity unde rteh role will be to produce a detailed plan, if this identifies that additional time is required teh post will be extended to cover the duration and this will be built into the contract.The data being migrated is a mix of google native and legacy microsoft filesdata is being migrated from AODocs (GSuite addon) to google shared drives.
