Technical inspection services of engineering structures

Tender description

Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council (the Council) has awarded a professional service contract with a single service provider to carry out 91 principal inspections, 18 scour inspections and 125 general inspections of highway structures in accordance with DMRB CS 450 and BD 97/12 including the organisation of safe access, required permits, traffic management and report production. The structures include highways bridges, railway bridges and waterway bridges. The contract is for a period of nine months with a potential six month extension.
