RFI for Advanced Manufacturing Centre (AMC) Technology Stack & Services (IDA Ireland)

Tender description

IDA is seeking submissions from suitable applicants / consortia of applicants operating in the industrial engineering, machinery, software engineering, IT, R&D, Business support and Training sectors for the delivery of a Technology Stack & Services as part of the overall AMC offering (as per enclosed documents). This will include a mixture of infrastructural, human capital and service offerings. With regards to the infrastructural component within the AMC, it is anticipated that this will consist of 5 parts (that are each linked to each other), namely: • A Digital Factory. • A Vendor Demonstrator Space. • A Manufacturer Test Space. • Education and Learning Facilities. • Mixed Office Space, meeting and seminar rooms etc. In advance of a competitive procurement process to select a suitable solution, IDA Ireland is conducting this market soundings exercise. • To determine the viability of the market to deliver an innovative and internationally renowned ‘Digital Factory’ solution that supports the overall objectives of the AMC by delivering the Use Cases and Characteristics, as described in this RFI document. • To better understand the representative architecture, constraints and dependencies (infrastructural or resource related) of any such solution. • To identify any additional Use Cases or Characteristics that the Digital Factory should consider incorporating. • To determine how the Digital Factory can remain current, flexible, agile and responsive to evolving industry needs and technological developments. • To determine how the Digital Factory can be developed, implemented and operated to delivery maximum value to participants (users and suppliers) and the state. Submissions should be sent back to the IDA via the eTenders portal and must be received by 17:00 on 14th August 2020. Queries or requests for clarification will be accepted via the eTenders portal no later than 17:00 on 31st July 2020. Questions or replies may be combined when responding.
